Giovanni da Gubbio (architect), Lions at the Entrance to Assisi Cathedral

The west façade has three doors, each flanked by a pair of lions. This is the door on the right. Each lion clutches its prey, although the captured animal on the left has been rendered indistinct by the years of bumps and weathering.
